Lux Annex at Kierland
Lux has been the place to be since they opened their Phoenix location years ago. With a focus on quality and creativity, their space as well as their food and drink has always been inspirational. With hand roasted coffees from around the world and food and pastries that raise the bar, Lux has been a popular with both the coffee connoisseurs as well as the artists and business crowd that frequent this hang out. Lux Annex is a newer establishment hidden in the first floor of a large commercial office building in the Kierland area of Scottsdale. It has a quaint modern vibe with bold fixtures and furnishings compliments of the stylings of Jeff Fischer’s imagination. Much of the interior walnut and glass was crafted and installed by our own William Douglas with Our Block Co. wall tiles decorating the face of the main counter. See the photos for more details.
Project Information
These custom “Origami” pink blocks were designed to serve as the focal point of the main coffee counter. Their espresso machine’s vibrant pink is an all but subtle touch of color amidst the walnut and shiny metallic brass surfaces that surround it. The tiles were created in a complimentary shade of pink with a right / left format that allowed us to create a deep and dramatic wall surface with a symmetrical, modern, mirrored pattern. Each tile was custom manufactured to the specifications and sample selection of the owner, Jeff Fischer, who’s design tastes and vision for the space were responsible for the stylish, modern lounge look.
